"Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone."

I am a psychologist with more than 20 years experience, and a strong commitment to working with people seeking fuller, more passionate, and more meaningful lives. If your career is not what you want, it will be useful to explore with a therapist what you do want, and where and how you can make that happen. If your relationship is tired or broken, why not find out if it might be salvaged, and what, if anything, you want now that the myths of marital bliss have been exploded. If you are ill, this is the time to throw off the fetters of expectation and seek the life that calls to you. If you are stuck in your explorations of spiritual growth, investigate how habit patterns accumulated over a lifetime continue to block the way to joyful living.

I am particularly interested in working with people dealing with life transitions, including at mid-life. While the notion of "mid-life crisis" has become the brunt of many jokes, it is a pivotal time in the life cycle. By mid-life, many people have settled into patterns of living that leave them feeling empty, frustrated and unhappy. Avoiding the truth about this situation is deadly.

Some people consider it a sign of weakness to see a psychologist. On the contrary, it is a mark of health and signifies a willingness to do what is necessary to live fully. Whether or not you decide to contact me, I encourage you to take action somehow, not to sit and wait for things to get better. They rarely do.
